Tyche Ventures LLC ("we," "our," or "us") built the HomeKeeper app (the "App") as a free application with optional premium features. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.
The App is intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction). The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers.
All data you enter in the App — including property details, addresses, asset information, maintenance tasks, log entries, photos, and documents — is stored locally on your device only. We have no access to this data. We do not have servers that receive, store, or process your information.

The App provides an export/backup feature that creates a local archive file (.homekeeper format) on your device. This file contains your data and is shared only through methods you explicitly choose (e.g., AirDrop, email). We never access, receive, or store your backup files.
You are solely responsible for maintaining backup copies of your data. We strongly recommend regular exports to protect against data loss. Tyche Ventures LLC is not responsible for any loss of data due to device failure, app deletion, iOS updates, or any other cause.
The App offers optional premium subscriptions through Apple's App Store. Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We do not collect or have access to your payment information, billing address, or Apple ID. Apple's privacy practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
The App may request permission to send local notifications for task reminders and warranty expiration alerts. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any communication with our servers. You can manage notification permissions in your device's Settings at any time.

Because all data is stored locally on your device and we do not operate servers or databases that store user information, the risk of a data breach from our systems is effectively zero. In the unlikely event that a vulnerability in the App is discovered that could compromise locally stored data, we will promptly disclose the issue via an App update and on our website, and provide guidance on how to protect your information.
We do not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not track your usage, behavior, location, or any other activity within the App. We do not display advertisements. We do not use cookies. We do not create user profiles.
We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share any user data with third parties. No data leaves your device through the App. We will never sell your data, and we have never sold user data.

For California residents: Under the CCPA, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. Since we collect no personal information and sell no data, these rights are inherently satisfied.
For EU/EEA residents: Under the GDPR, you have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Since all data is local to your device and we process no personal data, these rights are inherently satisfied.
Since all App data is stored locally on your device, data retention is entirely within your control. You decide what data to keep, modify, or delete at any time through the App.
If you delete the App from your device, all associated data is permanently and irreversibly removed. There is no server-side retention of your data because no data ever leaves your device through the App. We do not maintain any backups, copies, or records of your data on any server or cloud service.
Once data is deleted — whether by removing individual records within the App or by uninstalling the App — it cannot be recovered by us or any third party. You are solely responsible for exporting and backing up any data you wish to preserve before deletion.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
