Privacy Policy

Tyche Ventures LLC ("we," "our," or "us") built DwellLore (the "App") as a local-first home maintenance and records app with an optional one-time Premium purchase. This policy explains what stays on your device, when limited information is sent to outside services, and the choices available to you.

1. Local App Data

The App stores your DwellLore records in its local app container on your device. These records can include property details and addresses, asset information, maintenance tasks and logs, photos, receipts, manuals, warranties, other documents, generated map images, and saved recall results.

DwellLore does not require an account. We do not operate a DwellLore cloud database, cloud-sync service, or analytics backend. The App does not automatically transmit your local records to Tyche Ventures LLC. We receive information or files only if you voluntarily send them to us, such as in a support email.

2. CPSC Recall Checks

Recall checking is an internet feature. When a check runs—such as a periodic check while you use the App, a check after saving an asset, or a manual refresh—the App sends the asset's entered manufacturer/brand and, when available, model as search terms to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's SaferProducts.gov API. It does not send your property address, photos, documents, Apple ID, or a DwellLore account identifier to that API.

As with a normal internet request, the CPSC service may receive technical information such as your IP address and request metadata. CPSC controls its own processing and retention. Review the CPSC Privacy Policy for details. Recall responses and possible matches are saved locally in the App. We do not receive them.

3. Apple Services

4. Notifications

If you grant permission, DwellLore schedules local notifications for maintenance tasks, warranty dates, and newly found high-confidence possible recall matches. These alerts and reminders are generated by your device and do not use a Tyche Ventures LLC push-notification server.

5. Export, Backup, and Sharing

The App can create a local .dwelllore backup archive containing your properties, assets, tasks, maintenance logs, document metadata, and included property or document files. DwellLore can also import compatible legacy .homerecall archives created under the former HomeRecall name; new exports use the .dwelllore format. Saved recall matches and recall-check history are not included. After you restore an archive, the App can generate new possible recall matches by checking the CPSC service again as you use the App, when an internet connection and the required asset information are available.

DwellLore backup archives are not encrypted by the App. Store them only in a secure destination you trust. Nothing is sent merely because a backup archive or PDF maintenance report is created. If you use the iOS share sheet, you choose the destination, such as Files, AirDrop, Messages, or email, and that destination's privacy and security practices apply.

DwellLore does not provide its own cloud backup. Exported copies and device or system backups remain wherever you choose to store them and are not removed when you delete the corresponding record in the App.

6. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

DwellLore contains no advertising, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking SDKs. We do not build advertising profiles, sell your DwellLore data, or track your activity across other companies' apps and websites.

7. Storage and Security

Local records are protected by the iOS app sandbox and the security controls you enable on your device. No method of storage is risk-free. Keep iOS updated, protect your device with a strong passcode, and maintain current exports of records you cannot afford to lose.

8. Retention and Deletion

You control the records stored in the App and can edit or delete them. Uninstalling DwellLore removes its local app container under normal iOS behavior. Copies you previously exported, shared, or included in a device or system backup may remain at those destinations until you delete them there.

Tyche Ventures LLC has no automatically transmitted DwellLore app-data server copy to delete. Voluntary support communications are handled as described below. Requests sent to Apple or CPSC are governed by those services' retention policies.

9. Your Choices

10. Children

The App is intended for adults managing homes or household records. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly operate a service that collects personal information from children.

11. Support Communications

If you email support, Tyche Ventures LLC and its email service provider receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond to you, diagnose reported issues, protect the service, and maintain records reasonably needed for legal or business purposes.

We retain support communications only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes, subject to applicable law and ordinary backup retention. Do not send a DwellLore backup archive or sensitive documents unless they are necessary for your support request and you accept the risks of transmitting them by email.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. Material changes may also be communicated in the App or release notes when appropriate.
