Privacy Policy

1. Local painting content

Depending on how you use the app, local files can contain project names, medium/surface/dimensions, painting steps and optional documentation prompts, your notes, checked steps, a next-session reminder and its saved checkpoint, reference images, dated journal entries and their photos, and creation/edit timestamps. Saved templates contain their own names, steps, prompts, notes and optional reference images; they do not contain a project's session history or completed progress.

We do not operate a Paint Session cloud account, automatic synchronization service or server-side database for this content. The app does not include advertising, third-party analytics or cross-app tracking SDKs.

2. Photos you choose

Apple's system photo picker lets you select specific images without giving the app permission to browse your entire photo library. A selected copy becomes part of a reference gallery or a journal entry. The app may resize an image to fit its storage limits. Removing or changing a local copy does not alter the original in Photos.

Selected photos can retain embedded metadata, including capture location if present in the supplied image. We do not promise that metadata is stripped. References, journal images and the notes around them may be private; check what is included before exporting or sharing.

3. Exports, sharing and import

You choose when to create a PDF, export an editable project or template backup, or import a selected file. An exported project can include its saved details, full plan and notes, checks, reminder/checkpoint, reference images and recorded journal history. A PDF is read-only; a backup can be imported as a separately identified project. Neither includes the separate My Templates collection. A template backup separately contains that template's name, ordered steps, prompts, notes and reference photos; importing creates an independent template.

The app does not choose a recipient or send these files automatically. Destinations you select, such as email, messaging, a cloud file provider or a printer, handle their copies under their own terms and settings. Editable backups are not encrypted or password-protected by Paint Session. Prepared PDFs may remain in app temporary storage until the operating system clears them.

4. Apple services and your device

Apple-managed device or computer backups may include local app content depending on your settings. These backups are different from the app's own export feature. Apple also handles App Store, device and diagnostic information under Apple's privacy policy and the choices you make. If you use TestFlight, Apple may provide installation, crash and tester feedback information to the developer. The public app uses a one-time upfront App Store purchase; Apple handles payment. Paint Session has no in-app purchasing or subscription integration.

5. Website links and support

Opening a website link uses your browser and the destination's services, which can receive ordinary connection information such as an IP address and requested page. These pages are hosted as part of the Tyche Ventures website; its general practices are described in the website privacy policy. Opening a link does not automatically attach your painting records.

If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any information or attachments you choose to send through the email providers involved. We use those communications to respond to and investigate your request. Please do not send private artwork, photos or full backups by default. Contact us about information you have sent to support or a related access, correction or deletion request.

6. Your choices, retention and deletion

Projects and templates stay in the app's local storage. Available controls let you edit content, change reference images, delete individual journal entries, and move whole projects or saved templates to Recently Deleted. Editing a template does not update independent paintings created from it. Earlier exports and other copies are not automatically changed or deleted.

Recently Deleted retains the selected record locally without automatic expiration. Restore returns it to its library. Delete Permanently removes that recovered record from the app after confirmation and cannot be undone in Paint Session. This is not a promise of forensic secure erasure. We do not operate a cloud recovery service. Deleting the app can remove its local container, but backups, shared files and other destinations may retain copies. Manage those copies at their respective destinations. Do not uninstall as the first troubleshooting step if a record cannot be opened; preserve backups and contact support.

Because Tyche Ventures does not receive your local painting content through the app, we generally cannot remotely retrieve, correct, export, recover or delete it for you. Protect access to your device and keep copies of important work. No device, software, backup or transmission is risk-free.

7. Changes and contact
