Privacy policy.

This policy covers TallyKeeps for iPhone and iPad. No TallyKeeps account is required. The app does not automatically upload your local game records or profile photos to a Tyche Ventures server. Apple’s TestFlight diagnostics and information you choose to send us are separate, as explained below.

Local game information

The app stores game names, participants, scores, results, scoring instructions, local profiles and notes, selected avatars, groups, saved setups, game-night dates and places, and creation or update information on your device. Standings are calculated from these local records.

We do not operate a TallyKeeps cloud database, account or synchronization service. The app has no advertising, embedded analytics or tracking SDKs, subscription or in-app purchase.

Photos and contact names you choose

Optional system pickers let you choose a specific photo for a person, group or saved custom game, or a contact name. A selected photo is cropped and reduced to a small local avatar; the original in Photos is unchanged. TallyKeeps does not browse your entire photo library. Only the prepared image is stored, not the original photo’s location metadata.

The contact picker copies only the selected person’s given and family name into an editable draft. It does not store that contact’s phone number, email address, photo or contact identifier, or copy your address book.

Players entered for a new quick game become reusable local People records. Choosing an existing person links results to that identity. The app does not merge people just because their names match. A local preference remembers whether you have explored the practice example; practice changes are not saved as real game records. Reusable custom games can hold a name, scoring method and selected artwork; their setup records do not hold players, groups or scores.

Sharing and website links

You can review and edit invitation or result text before opening the system share sheet. Only that text is passed to the destination you select; the app does not send it automatically. Recipients and sharing services control their copies under their own practices.

Support, privacy and game-rule links open browser destinations. Those services may receive ordinary connection information, such as an IP address and requested page. Our website uses existing GitHub Pages hosting and is covered by the Tyche Ventures privacy policy. Opening a link does not attach your local score sheets.

Apple purchases and diagnostics

Apple processes App Store purchases under its own terms and privacy practices. We do not receive your payment-card details. TallyKeeps has no in-app purchase or subscription.

When you test through TestFlight, Apple automatically collects crash logs and usage information and shares them with the developer. This information and feedback you submit may be associated with your name and email address; submitted feedback can include comments and screenshots. We use it to investigate problems and improve the app under Apple’s requirements, and do not share it with third parties. See TestFlight & Privacy.

Apple-managed device or computer backups may contain local app data depending on your settings. They are not a TallyKeeps backup or synchronization service.

Retention and your choices

Local records remain on your device. Settings → Manage saved records lets you delete individual records; linked profiles, groups and setups are protected while still in use. Deleting a game also removes its result from local standings. Changing a profile does not rewrite names already recorded in past games. Deleting the app can remove its local information; shared messages and device backups may retain separate copies. We cannot remotely retrieve or recover your local score sheets.

If you contact support, we receive your email address, message and attachments through the email services involved. We use support communications and available beta diagnostics as needed to respond, investigate issues and meet applicable legal obligations. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information you sent us. Avoid sending private game records or photos unless needed.

Changes and contact
